John and Alicia Nash’s legacy

I was saddened today by the terrible news of the death of John and Alicia Nash.

In addition to  the well known, fantastic contributions of Nash’s genius to Mathematics and Economic Theory, John and Alicia Nash where the living proof that Love, Patience, Dedication and Companionship are among the most beautiful expressions of human spirit.

This is surely why you were allowed the rest together…

We will miss you!

The article “Lei de Benford e Auditoria de Obras Públicas: Uma Análise de Sobrepreço na Reforma do Maracanã” has been published in Revista do TCU.

The Federal Court of Accounts of Brazil (Tribunal de Contas da União – TCU) audits the accounts of administrators and other persons responsible for federal public funds, assets, and other valuables, as well as the accounts of any person who may cause loss, misapplication, or other irregularities that may cause losses to the public treasury. Such administrative and judicative authority, among others, is provisioned in art. 71 of the Brazilian Constitution.
