The research article “Partisan Voluntary Transfers in Federation: New Evidence from Brazil” has been accepted for presentation at the 2013 Latin American and Caribbean Economic Association Meeting and the Latin American Meeting of the Econometric Society, LACEA-LAMES 2013 to be held at El Colegio de México, in Mexico City, this coming November.

Prof. Felix Lopes with present the article Partidos, facções e a ocupação dos cargos de confiança no executivo federal (1999-2011), coauthored by Felix Lopes (IPEA), myself and Karina Bugarin (SAE/PR), at the 37th Annual Meetings of ANPOCS, on September 25,2013.

ANPOCS is the main Association of Graduate Programs in Social Sciences in Brazil.

The Zero Hora national newspaper interviewed me on a possible electoral reform to put an end to the possibility of reelection in Brazil.

Fernando Meneguin (Brazilian Federal Senate) and I were just awarded the Edgardo Buscaglia ALACDE Award for Empirical Research in Law and Economics. The award was announced during the 2013 ALACDE meeting in Rio on June 18, 2013, for the article “Incentivos à corrupção e à inação no serviço público: Uma análise de desenho de mecanismos“, to be published in the Economics and Politics Research Group’s  CERME-CIEF-LAPCIPP-MESP Working Paper Series.
